Accessibility and Inclusion

In Daylesford we don’t just accept difference—we celebrate it, we support it, and we thrive on it.

Daylesford NYE Parade and Gala is committed to cultivating and preserving a culture of inclusion and connectedness. We are able to grow and learn better together with a diverse team of volunteers. The collective sum of the individual differences, life experiences, knowledge, innovation, self-expression, and talent that our volunteers invest in their assistance for the event represents not only part of our culture, but our reputation and Daylesford NYE committee achievement as well. In both recruiting for our team, and in the members of the public we welcome to the event, we welcome the unique contributions that you can bring in terms of  education, opinions, culture, ethnicity, race, sex, gender identity and expression, nation of origin, age, languages spoken, veteran’s status, color, religion, disability, sexual orientation and beliefs.

Neuro-diverse attendees may like to access the ‘chill out zone’ and if required, a quiet space is available accessible by organisers. Wheelchair accessible parking is available in the Coles supermarket carpark and the public toilets have a wheelchair accessible toilet.

We welcome the public from near and far. Making a point of engaging with our neighbors enables us to stay connected with the people around us and contributes to a world that values kindness and understanding over exclusion.
